week 16 Final Assignment

Social Sites... Who would've ever thought how beneficial they would become to companies that are wanting to connect with their target market, advertise, or network. Before taking CSIT 155 I was aware that social sites had advertising included in the overall model of the sites however never to the degree of which I learned and was able to actually identify with while completing the semester assignments. I most definitely was enlightened. The analytics that are available for business's that want to truly understand their market, and demographics is phenomenal. Important information ranging from the  ages of the people viewing your post, where they live, and even what kind of device they are utilizing to engage. Companies that take heed to the information from the reports they receive are able to formulate a strategic social media campaign. One that directly aligns itself with what's working best for the business. Implementing this, saves time and money. Not wasting time...

The Facebook analytics insight feature is awesome! The data collected is so valuable in understanding what's working in your marketing campaign and what's not. The followers section specifies exactly how many followers your page has and when and where you picked those followers up from. This information is very valuable when you are wanting to establish Brand recognition. Using this data helps you focus your efforts where you are gaining the most support. The action section itemizes out people who clicked on any of your information on your "about us" area. Address, phone number, action button, or website. The data is so detailed it will tell you the age, country, gender, and even the device the person used. Detailed is an understatement.This was so beneficial to understand the demographics of the people who are actually engaging on your page. Google Analytics is an awesome tool to utilize for small businesses that are on  a budget and want to maximize their marketing potential. The Google+ 360 seems like a complete program that outlines all the essential components needed to zoom in on what works best for individual businesses marketing goals and objectives. Google Ad words is definitely a feature Poetry Events can benefit from. One of our main objective is Brand Recognition.  Using Google Ad Words allows us to set a budget and gain awareness to those that find interest in our company specifically. ADVERTISING!!! can be fun and tedious all at the same time. Creating a fun, compelling campaign that delivers and fulfills specific goals takes creativity and also insight. Social Sites have fundamental rules that dictate who, how, when your posts or tweeted ads are viewed and how much it will cost you. Facebook ad options include: Facebook’s desktop News Feed, Facebook’s desktop right column Facebook’s mobile News Feed,  Instagram’s mobile News Feed. Generally Banner ads are found in the Facebook right column section and are small, specific CTA (call-to-action) ads that are enticing users to click now to book, or save on a particular promotion. Deals! are always a great way to attract new customers. Groupon would be a great avenue to utilize while growing my business clientele and even during slow periods. "Poetry" would create a campaign for Groupon that will offer savings percentages based on the amount spent per event. For example, a customer that spends over $2500.00 on the entire consulting pkg will receive 20% off.  The benefit of offering a coupon deal is payment upfront. However, pre-paying for services before they are actually rendered can cause confusion if extra services are required to complete the job. Also customers can adapt to the discounted prices and be unwilling to pay the normal rates for services, and always be looking for the next "deal". What's a business without reviews?? Although Facebook, Instagram & Twitter are some of the most popular and frequently used social sites used by both individuals and businesses alike. There are several other rising social sites that engage many vistors and can be very beneficial to building a presence and a Brand name. Yelp is a review site that allows viewers to leave ratings and comments about their service and experiences. However One-sided yelp can be,  it gives users feedback from previous cutomers and also gives location directions for businesses with brick and mortor locations. Similar to Facebook & Instagram pictures and creative, engaging content are tools needed to execute an effective blogging campaign. Blog followers find interest in post they can relate with, learn from, and also entertains them. When constructing content for your blog post it's important to first outline a goal(s) that you aim to achieve through utilizing blogging. Organizing your goals can help create appropriate content, keywords, and best times to post. Incorporating relate- able content that plays into the emotions of followers is a sure way to build a continued following as well as giving people a more intimate view of the brand. Twitter is a world of its own when it comes to Social Media. It not only allows you to communicate directly within a community of followers. It also allows you to direct “tweets” to particular individuals or companies irregardless if you're following/connected. Twitter is formatted to keep things short and sweet. I choose to use visual stimulants in my post. People connect and seem to engage more when they have a visual picture along with text post. I encouraged through my post upcoming promotions and seasonal specials. I also used pictures of celebrity PR . People are attracted to following high influence people. Applying this strategy gains  the attention of those that support the celebrity/ brand & brings brand awareness to my company as well.

Target Market Comparison Upon comparison of http://www.econobum.com/homepg.php & http://www.justcheapdiapers.com/ It's obvious both companies are targeting anyone with children that are utilizing diapers. Econobum however has niche out a market for parents that are “green” concise and want to provide a more natural way of disposing of their child's waste. Cloth diapers were popular in the pasted because they would save parents money. Now parents are requesting cloth diapers because of the pollution plastic diapers cause. Based off the look and content of Econobum's website. I would guess they are marketing to new parents. Age demographic ranging from 27-32. Website Overview Miracosta Blackboard- https://blackboard.miracosta.edu What would students do without Blackboard? Nothing, but fail all of our classes. Duhh.. Miracosta's Blackboard is very effective and easy to navigate. Without Blackboard it would be impossible to get assignments, be informed of upcoming projects, as well as communicate with professors, classmates, and the student help desk. Miracosta's website includes all of the above in design requirements. The website includes Hierachy, Alignment, and Proximity throughout the site. I believe it is able to be customized according to professors, however the blackboard layout I've been accustomed to has adapted at least these three concepts. Let's get social... Some people believe in the traditional methods of communication. (i.e.) telephones, personal mail, etc. However if you plan to stay connected to the ever changing times of today on a personal level Facebook is the #1 Social Media site. Facebook host a community estimated of around 2 billion users. The concept allows users to connect with friends from all around the world. Within the community of friends users are even able to create smaller groups,these more intimate groups can range from common interest, hobbies and more. Facebook allows its user to identify the people in your community by specific family members, mother, brother,sister. You get the idea.  Pretty personal right?! Wanna tell the world how you feel ?
