week 12 Other Social Media Tools

Although Facebook, Instagram & Twitter are some of the most popular and frequently used social sites used by both individuals and businesses alike. There are several other rising social sites that engage many vistors and can be very beneficial to building a presence and a Brand name.

Yelp is a review site that allows viewers to leave ratings and comments about their service and experiences. However One-sided yelp can be,  it gives users feedback from previous cutomers and also gives location directions for businesses with brick and mortor locations.

I believe "Poetry" Event Planning for Businesses can benefit from the reviews through yelp. The reviews will help attract more clients and allow previous clients to engage and comment on their experiences with our company.

LinkedIn A social media site that bases it existence around the business industry. The site attracts business professionals and allows them to connect with one another with a more professional dialogue and purpose in mind. "Poetry" Event Consulting for Businesses can definitely benefit from the connections of LinkedIn. The Profile features will allow potential customer the ability to screen the credentials and experience of myself and other partners involved in their event production.

Groupon is another site I feel my business could benefit from initially in the beginning phase. Offering discounts through Groupon will entice customers to patronize our business and establish a relationship that will extend throughout the future.

Lastly although I'm not to familiar with Google+ from what I understand It is somewhat similar to Facebook. Users create a community and upload content and engage with one another. However Google+ is more geared toward search engine optimization. So how far your post reach is determined more so by how popular and in context your post are with those topics being searched. (A little more research involved than Facebook, Right?!) Absolutely! However far better conversion rate then other more popular sites. "Poetry" incorporating a campaign including Google+  would be beneficial in targeting specific topics, groups, and event types in our industry to attract new and existing customers.
