week 16 Final Assignment

Social Sites... Who would've ever thought how beneficial they would become to companies that are wanting to connect with their target market, advertise, or network.

Before taking CSIT 155 I was aware that social sites had advertising included in the overall model of the sites however never to the degree of which I learned and was able to actually identify with while completing the semester assignments.

I most definitely was enlightened. The analytics that are available for business's that want to truly understand their market, and demographics is phenomenal. Important information ranging from the  ages of the people viewing your post, where they live, and even what kind of device they are utilizing to engage.

Companies that take heed to the information from the reports they receive are able to formulate a strategic social media campaign. One that directly aligns itself with what's working best for the business. Implementing this, saves time and money. Not wasting time searching to see what works, but executing what's proven to work.

Since the class was based around Social Media Best Practices for Businesses. I was able to view a lot of different social sites that were business accounts instead of personal accounts. Although social media is designed to be a more casual platform. Communities of like-minded people engaging in topics, events, politics, reviews, etc. I was able to see clever ways other business's maintained a professional presence, while also engaging with their supporters on a more personal level.

The world is evolving daily in terms of  the way consumers expect advertising to look. Goodbye to long commercials, radio and flyers.. Social Media is here to stay and moving at an ever rapid pace. One can choose either to be the bystander or the DRIVER!
